Aroma Tropics was not a Bumiputra (Malay majority) company, so we were not entitled to undertake a government project those days. Our formation of a team with Team Three Architect (JBIS); the firm our founders had belonged to, enabled us to get through the severe tender exercise. The entrance building was designed by their architect Mr. Shafik, completely silver long haired Malay man who had grown up in Australia. He claimed that his Opera House-like roof composition was inspired from a pose of dancing Malay woman who lifted up a side of her close slightly, standing with crossed legs. That coincided to match with Kashino's say of "Heliconia" bracts to shape the same roof.
